Correr o no correr...esa es la cuestión! (O Cuestión de Peso) - To run or not to run

Estabamos en la pradera de la familia Ingalls, todos felicísimos en la casa, comiendo asado...Kieran, tragón, enseguida se dió cuenta que lo mejor de la semana eran los asados del Domingo, y lo mejor del Domingo los niños con choripán o paty en la mano. Altura ideal para él, enseguida desarrolló una habilidad increíble para "participar" del asado.

We were happily ever after in Ingall´s prairie, eating barbecue...Kieran the glutton noticed very fast that sunday barbecues were the best, and even better little kids attending with sausage sanwiches in their hands. Ideal height for him, he dicscovered a new habbility for tasting barbecue goodies.


No contento con eso, decidió que valía la pena investigar las mesadas. Con gran técnica aplica lo que en casa llamamos "la gran Willy" que nada tiene que ver con el tenis. Viene de la orca de la película. El salto es muy similar a la forma de cacería que emplean las orcas, que se lanzan a la orilla y giran un cuarto su cuerpo para dar más alcance de mordida. Y si señores, llega nomás al borde y ataca lo que encuentre.

Not happy enough with that he wanted what was on tables also. We called this trick "great Willy", coming from the film with the famous killing whale. And yes, he reaches the table and "hunt" whatever you place over.

Obviamente el señorito engordó unos cuantos kilos. Mi marido, dicho sea de paso también. Por eso decidió empezar a correr todas las mañanas para bajar los kilos de más. Empezamos un Lunes, 8.00 AM, ejercicio y dieta, para ambos.

Mr. Dog obviously gained weight. My husband also. So he decided to start jogging for losing those extra kilos. Starting Monday, 8.00 AM, exercide and diet both.





Primer día, Kieran feliz de que le pusieran su correa para salir de paseo, moviendo la cola salió chocho! Y volvió cansadito pero contento...Segundo día, Martes 8.00 AM, digamos que madrugar no es lo suyo, salíó pero no tan feliz, segundo día consecutivo levantarse tan temprano, le parecieron exagerados al Shetland.


First day Kieran was really happy, leash on, waving tail! And returned later tired but happy. Second day, 8.00 AM, we could say he isn´t a morning dog at all, he went but not so happy, two days in a row of getting up sooo early was a way to exaggereted for the Sheltie.

Tercer día, Miércoles, 8.00 AM, "KIEEEEERAAAAN, KIEEEERAN, DAALEEEE; VAMOOOOOS A PASEAAAR; VENIIIII!!!!!" No hay señales de Kieran en toda la casa, raro raro, es un pastor, al primer KI uno ya lo tiene a sus pies, más si es para algo placentro como salir a pasear...Mi marido, decide irse sin el porque se le hacía tarde.

Third day, 8.00 AM, "KIEEERAAAN; KIEEEERANNN; COME ON; LETS GO FOR A WALK!!! No signals of the dog, strange, he´s a sheepdog, you call him and he answers at the first KI, tops if is something he really enjoys like going out....My husband was getting lates, so he went without him.

Y yo me quedo en la mesa desayunando y pensando en lo raro de la situación, pruebo llamarlo yo, "KIIIIEEERAAAANNNN", nada, en fin, Juan se va, en el momento que se cierra la puerta, escucho un suspiro eterno, que raro...otro suspiro y abracadabra, sale Kieran desde abajo de la mesa moviendo la cola!!!!!!! Me mira con esos ojos sabios que hablan por si solos."¿¿Y que querés??' ¿¿Qué salga  a correr por todo el barrio? ¿Y a esta hora? Naaaaahhhh, no contaban con mi astucia!!!!" jajajaja!! ¡¡¡Qué capo, cuando nosotros fuimos el ya fue y volvió!!!¡¡La tiene tan clara!!

I was having breakfast, thinking in the weird episode, try to call him myself "KIEEEERANNN", nothing at all. In the precise moment that the door banged with my husband exit, I heard a long sigh of relief, that was strange...another sight and hocus pocus, Kieran get out from under the table waving his tail!!!! He looked at me with those wise eyes that talked by themselves "What do you expect? Me running all round the neighbor this early? Nope, nope" Hahaha, he is so damn clever...
