Vuelta de Tuerca - Different Way

Es increíble la parafernalia que el criador/exhibidor de perros puede llegar a juntar. Llega un momento en que los artiliugios son tantos que la casa se ve invadida y se transforma en una muestra intinerante de curiosidades para perros y gatos. En un momento de mi vida, siendo joven madre, con una hija de dos años y mellizos bebes, pensé que nunca iba a tener una casa tan "sitiada" por objetos inertes como en esa estapa. 

It´s really amazing all the stuff a dog breeder/exhibitor could stalk. There is a point when your house is taken and transformed in a "intinerant exhibition for courious dog objects".In a stage of my life, when my older daughter was two years and my twin boys newborns I thought that never ever in my life I would have my house under siege of lifless objects.

Cochecitos, cunitas, sillas altas, butacas para auto, mamaderas, etc. Me equivoqué por supuesto!
Strollers, prams, high seats, car seats, milk bottles, etc. Wrong of course!


Estoy a punto de poner un cartelito en la entrada de mi casa "Museo del Perro" y cobrar entrada. Estoy cansada de explicar para que sirve cada item a mi familia y amigos. A veces me siento una guía de turismo.
Any minute from now I´m going to hang a post in my house drive "Dog museum" and charge for tickets! I´m really tired of teaching my family and friends about every single item. Sometiems I feel like a turism guide!

Pero como dice el refrán "No hay mal que por bien no venga". Caí en la cuenta de esto el otro día. Mi familia de visita y mi hermano menor me preguta por un corral rojo de seis paneles que tengo en el jardín. Con ironía quiere saber si pertenecía a mis hijos varones. NO!! Pero de haber sabido que existían en esa época seguro compraba uno! Mi mamá explica con aire de experta (la estoy domesticando como verán) que es para los perros, aunque también fue usada por mis conejos, y hasta hijos de amigos que jugaban a la casita.
But as it´s said, if life throw you lemons just make some lemonade. I realised other day when my family was visitin us about it. My younger brother was asking with some irony about the red pen I have in my garden. He was courious if I used it with my boys when they were toddlers. NO!!! Anyway I didn´t know about the existence of them, sure enough I would have bought one! My mother explained patronizing him that was just for dogs (I´m taming her you see...) but it was also very handful with my rabbits, even friend´s children used it as a play house.

A la hora de dar clase de arte es donde más jugo le saco a todo. La mesa de grooming sirve para apoyar los trabajos. El secador para acelerar el proceso y que puedan seguir pintando. La turbina logra unos efectos sorprendentes sobre acuarela húmeda. El peine metálico antiestática de Dakota es un "rayador" que logra unas texturas increíbles. Obtengo mejores resultados en arte que en el pelo de Daks...Ni hablar de los modelos, Dakota y Kieran son los preferidos.Y estoy pensando que si me quedo sin caramelos para el final de la clase podría usar alimento balanshhhhh!!! No creo sea una buena idea, mejor no...
When I´m teaching art lessons is where I obtain moer results. Grooming table doubles as a drying and exhibit area. Hair dryer is for acelerating drying process, so they can go on painting. Wind blower is fantastic for special effects over wet watercolor. The antiestatic metallic comb that I used with Dakota is a splendid "stripper" that makes excellent textures. Even better than combing Daks...Also Kieran and Dakota are perfect living models. And if I get short of candies may I use some dog kniblshhhhh!!!!  Better not, think is not a good idea at all...


Cuando me quedo sin lavandina hecho mano al desinfectante de la mesa, y tiene mejor olor! La última colchoneta que compré también sirve de colchoneta para gimnasia. Las toallas para secar los perros eran originalmente las toallas de pileta de mis hijos. La tijera de entresacar es fantástica para cortar el pelo a los varones, lo mismo la maquinita rapadora.
When I´m out of bleach, it´s always handy the desinfectant product for the grooming table. Smells better also! Last huge bed I bought for dogs is really comfy for gymm purpurse. Towels I use now for drying the dogs were first kid pool towels. Shimmering scissor is really cool for cutting my boys hair, and the razor of course.


Pero lo mejor lo descubrí el otro día. Me quedé sin shampoo y sin acondicionador y estaba apurada. Siiiiiii, usé el de los perros, lo admito sin verguenza alguna! Me sacó del apuro y el pelo me quedó genial, ja!
But the best I dicovered the other day. Run out of shampoo and rinser and I was in a hurru. Yessss, I used doggy hair products. I admit it, not shame at all! Fast solution and my hair look great, HA!
